Homo Faber = Creator Human being.

I am a craftsman by origin, a tinkerer, repairer, moulder by instinct. I refurbish furniture, knit, crochet, sew, paint, draw, do linocut, make paper figures – and the list goes on.

I’m also a big fan of machines, but even without them I can figure out how to work with materials.

If you’ve got two toothpicks or a pàrnahnah with holes in it, I’ll probably have an idea of what you can make out of it.

Why a gallery and why a community workshop?

Creating – making, bringing to life can be done mentally and physically. It also requires creative energies to bring a community to life and sustain it. Many people are afraid to go it alone, many are unsure of their own abilities, need guidance or just need someone to organise an occasion to create something together.

As I see culture as a necessity alongside social issues and the creative process, I can bring together contemporary visual and applied arts , literature, theatre, music and film.

My desire is to showcase lesser-known artists and pay homage to well-known ones.
